La plateforme comporte 50 mesuresqui, si elles sont mises en œuvre, vont relancer l’industrie australienne de la construction résidentielle et répondre aux problèmes d’accessibilité des prix des logements auxquels le pays est confronté. Les taxes d’habitation, l’accès au financement des consommateurset des petites entreprises, la paperasserie,et l’amélioration de la flexibilitédes systèmes de relations industriellesfigurent parmi les domaines principauxprévus pour la réforme.
Afin de soutenir leHousingAustralians, l’HIAs’est engagé dans une campagne visant à faire du logement un point majeurpour l’élection à venir. Dans le cadre de cette campagne, l’HIAinvite ses membresà s’inscrire sur son nouveau site web australianeedsbuilding.com.au et à envoyer à leurs députés fédéraux locauxun message qui remet en question leur réflexion et leur manque d’action concernant le logement – et qui leur rappelle toute l’importance de l’industrie du logement pourl’Australie.
