Ricardo Carlei, l’inventeur de la gamme de produits Quattrolifts, est chiropracteur,et il dirige son propre cabinet d’expertise-conseil en santé et sécurité, Quantum Workhealth Programmes, qui se spécialise dans la réduction des risques professionnels de la manutention manuelle.
A travers ses nombreuses collaborations avec des fabricants et des installateurs de vitrages,tels que Pilkington, il a pris conscience des risques et des dommages corporelles associés à la manipulation des vitres.
A la suite del’identification deces problèmes, Ricardo a créé Quattrolifts dans le but de développer des appareilsqui réduiraient les risques de blessureslors de la manipulation de lourdes plaques de verre.
Quattrolifts possède des brevets délivrés et des brevets en attente enAustralie, aux États-Unis, en Europe etdans d’autres pays internationauxpour ses différentes conceptions et leurs accessoires.
Des échanges avec des professionnels du vitrageont abouti à la conception du premier produit deQuattrolift,leNomad, qui fut suivi par le développement de multiples accessoirespour assister davantage les vitriers dans la manipulation de plaques de verre massives. Quattrolifts a présenté avec un immense succès le Mule lors de l’édition 2007 du salon professionnel GlassBuildAmericaà Atlanta, enGéorgie, auxÉtats-Unis. Depuis, la gamme des produits Quattroliftsn’a cessé de s’élargiret compte aujourd’hui10machinesstandards comprenant des options et des possibilités de modifications qui étendent la gamme à plus de 20 produits.
